Checklist
Equity Release Plan Checklist
- Evidence of your identity together with your name and address. A passport or driving license would be fine.
- Birth and marriage certificates.
- Details of savings, investments and any State benefits. A financial adviser will need a complete picture of your finances to help you to assess if equity release is right for you.
- House and Buildings insurance. The Equity Release Plan Provider will check your policy, before they can arrange for the money to be sent to you.
- A cheque for the valuation fees. You may be asked to pay for an up-to-date valuation of your home. This fee is not normally refundable if you subsequently decide an Equity Release plan is not for you. However, you will possess a detailed report on your property!
